Francisco J. Rosado Martinez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with deep sadness and much love that I announce the peaceful passing of my husband, Francisco J Rosado Martinez (Francis, Paquito, Gordo, Gordito) on May 12, 2022 at the age of 57 years after a sudden cardiac arrest. He was surrounded by his wife and cats at their home in Davenport, Florida. Francisco was born on August 25, 1964 to his father, Francisco Rosado, and his mother, Haydee Martinez, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Francis attended to elementary, middle and high school in Bayamon, Puerto Rico where he was raised and lived for 29 years. He graduated from University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in Education. He worked as Math and Physical Education Teacher at Puerto Rico Department of Education for 5 years before moved to Florida, in 1996, looking for a career change using his skills and knowledge in electronic and computer. He completed an Electrical Apprenticeship and Training program while working at Walt Disney Theme Parks and Resorts. He earned the CompTIA A+ certification to pursue a career in IT industry. His last job was as a Ride and Show Technician at Disney Animal Kingdom. In 1992, he met his wife Maria Elizabeth (Liza, Eliza) Colon in a middle school in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico where they were working as teachers, and they wed in July 1993. He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco (Don Paco). He is survived by his wife Liza, his mother Haydee, his sister Heidi, his brother Rony, nephew Joel, nieces Janellys and Valeria, as well as numerous relatives and friends. He had a passion for science, computer, playing video games, teaching, woodworking, cooking, painting, fishing, nature lover. He will always be remembered for being simple, affectionate, talkative, determined, optimistic, curious, never stop looking until find the answer, sociable, good sense of humor, made everyone laugh, creative, honest and courageous. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Francis is still planned at this time. I will update with that information as soon as I have it. I am grateful for your support and love during this difficult time.
