Rafael Santiago Jr. (58), an immaculate family man, was transitioned to heaven on the day of August 24th, 2021 at 12:42 PM, with his loved ones by his side and in the comfort of his own home. Rafael was the husband of a wonderful, loving, and beautiful wife Mayra Bayon Santiago. This lovely couple shared 30 years of true happiness together and with an immeasurable love for one another. Born in the concrete jungle of the Bronx, New York, Rafael "Rafito" as we called him was the oldest son of Georgina Santiago and Rafael Santiago. Rafael was very accomplished; receiving many licenses certifying him as an Engineer, Electrician, and in operating on multiple types of machinery. He was a true jack of all trades. Always a craftsman and without hesitation the right person for the job to help fix the homes of many families across New Jersey. Rafito enjoyed music throughout his life and would sing and play instruments at church. Occasionally he would rock the house with his DJ'ing skills by mixing tapes of Freestyle and House music. He will always be remembered when it comes to expressing his passion for music and dancing. He would throw down by moving rhythmically to Salsa or bust a move while Breakdancing in the streets of New York. In his free time, Rafito always enjoyed playing and watching baseball. When he wasn’t watching the Yankees win, he would dedicate his Saturday mornings to the Meadowlands watching his favorite horses race. In his youth, he was part of the group called the Guardian Angels, where he would shield and protect the public from harm's way. To this day, he’s still our Guardian Angel watching over us, protecting us, and guarding his loved ones. Rafael Santiago is survived by his unconditionally loving wife Mayra, his children who he created to be healers of this world Amy (Alonzo), Daniel (Elisa), Gabriella, Jonathan (Alicia), his caring parents Georgina, Rafael Sr., his proud siblings Myra, Sandra (David), Lissette, Kayla, Ray, his intelligent grandchildren Elijah, Emily, Esiah, Hannah, and his loyal best friends Shaggy 🐾 and Lyla 🐾 A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Rafael’s life on Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 12PM to 4PM at Funeraria Borinquen on 2360 Michigan Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34744. The memorial service will begin at 1PM.
