Ernestine Allen

We gather today to remember and celebrate the life of Ernestine Allen, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born on December 11, 1945, in Baker Hill, Montserrat BWI, to Alfred and Diana Browne, Ernestine was the youngest of eleven siblings. Her life was a tapestry of love and dedication, woven through the lives of her family and all who knew her. Ernestine’s journey on earth came to a peaceful close on June 15, 2024, in Kissimmee, Florida, with her loving son Joel Allen and his wife Tawana Guthrie-Allen by her side. Ernestine was a beacon of strength and resilience, having gracefully navigated the transitions of three of her children Evelio Rodriguez, Cynthia Riley, and John Allen. Ernestine’s legacy continues through her remaining three children, Stacey Villar, Joel Allen, and Leah Allen-Elizee, who embody her spirit of compassion and fortitude. She was a proud grandmother to nineteen grandchildren: Charles, James, Joshua, Kymani, Jonathan, Daton, Kaitlin, Jashana, Brandon, Brian, Aaliyah, Jade, Alex, Brook, Danielle, Rayshawn, David, Daniella, and Evelyn. Each grandchild carries a part of her wisdom and kindness. Her love further blossomed with six great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Jordan, Amyra, Cydene, Josiah, and Eden Kai. They were the joy of her later years, and in them, her memory will flourish. Ernestine Allen, a woman of grace and diligence, walked through life with a purpose that was reflected in every role God assigned. As a Legal Secretary, she exemplified precision and commitment, traits that also flourished in her personal passions. Ernestine found solace in the rhythm of baking, where each ingredient was a note in her harmonious creations. Her garden was a canvas of color, tended to with the same loving hands she devoted to her beloved family. Her home was not just a structure of walls and beams; it was a sanctuary of love, where every corner resonated with warmth and every gathering was a celebration. Ernestine’s faith as a devoted Christian was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life’s journey with unwavering belief and hope. Her heart remained anchored to the joys of homemaking and the cherished moments spent with her children and husband, Ronald D. Allen (Deceased). Ernestine’s legacy is not just in the lives she touched but also in the love she cultivated. Her honor, filled with love, will continue to echo through generations, inspiring all who knew her to live with the same zest and devotion. Rest in peace, dear Ernestine. Your spirit lives on in the laughter of your grandchildren, the bloom of your roses, and the sweet aroma of your baked delights. Ernestine’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family. As we bid farewell, we find comfort in knowing that her warmth, laughter, and stories will continue to inspire us.
